How To Root, Steps to root Samsung Galaxy SM J710GN Step By Step Using ODIN Tool:
Step 1: Download CF auto root Zip file from this and ODIN tool from this . You may skip this step if you already have the Odin installed on your PC. Then, extract both of the zip files on your PC in the same folder.
Step 2: Now you need to enable USB Debugging mode and developer mode on your Galaxy J7 from this link. Check out the option (original equipment manufacturer) OEM unlock in developer option and enable it by tapping on it. Also, in developer option, if the option Verify Apps Via USB is enabled, disable it by tapping on it.
Step 3: Switch ON your phone and go into the download mode by pressing Volume Down + Home Buttons simultaneously. By pressing and holding both keys, press the power button and hold it until you see Download mode or ODIN mode.
Step 4: Here you will get a warning message on the screen of your Galaxy J7. Ignore it and press Volume up key for entering Download mode. See above image.
Step 5: Connect your Galaxy J7 to PC via standard USB cable while it is in download mode and double-click to open and run ODIN.exe file on your PC (downloaded in step 1).
In ODIN, make sure the ‘Auto Reboot’ and ‘F.Reset Time’ options are checked(ticked). When Galaxy J7 is detected by ODIN automatically, the ID: COM boxes will turn to yellow and will show the COM port number and a message box appears on the screen.
Step 6: Now in ODIN, click on “PDA” OR “AP” and browse to the CF auto root zip file that you downloaded in the first step and select it. Hit the “Start” button to initiate the installation process and wait for it to finish. It may take a few minutes.
Step 7: Now the process will start and when it completes the updating process, ODIN tool will show a green box. ODIN will automatically Reboot your Galaxy J7 and when it is done, you will get a message “pass” on the screen. It will take around 6 to 9 minutes to reboot.
Step 8: Congratulations! Now your Samsung Galaxy J7 SM J710GN is rooted.
